Unknown Warbler? (Netherlands, Veluwemeer Gelderland, 1st of July 2022) (1 Viewer)

Frank-birding

Frank van de Velde
Last Friday I saw this bird (see the first 5 images) from a bird hide at the shore of the Veluwemeer near Elburg Netherlands. I'm unable to ID it, could it be a Savi's Warbler? But I don't associate the bright white edges on its folded wing with Savi's. It doesn't look good for Reed Warbler (the most likely candidate) I think though.

To compare: It was close to a Reed Warbler (I think), see image 6 and 7 where my mystery bird in the top left corner is more or less accompanied in the bottom right corner by said Reed Warbler.

I hope enough of the bird is visible for an ID.

Regards, Frank

It is nonetheless a Common Reed Warbler. Savi's (and Locustella) have rounded white wing edges and fuller tails. Marsh excluded by rufous rump, primary edges etc.
