Very Greedy Pigeons (1 Viewer)

Hi I'm new here! |:D|

For the past 2 weeks I've been getting 2 feral pigeons (always together) in my garden, a white/brown coloured one and a dark black one. And they are becoming real pests. And I don’t know what to do to get rid of them. They have taken over the whole garden. Other birds don’t hardly get a look in anymore either. They chase and peck at the collered doves when they land on the bird tables and chase away the 2 sparrows I get. I've tried scaring them away many times but they always just fly off and them come back a few minutes later, sometimes they don’t even fly off. They are very, very sneaky, I've been watching them for a few days now, the brown one will eat while the black one stands right at the top of bird table with it's leg propped up on the point of it.

I know they have a right to come in and eat if they want, just like every other bird, but they eat everything . I never got any pigeon till now and my garden used to be full of garden birds till these two showed up.

I have to fill both bird tables up till it's spilling over the sides, TWICE a day now. When before I only needed to fill them up every few days.
This morning I filled the table up and went to get some fresh water for it and when I came back they were there, pigging out on the table. I was about 3 meters away from them and they still stood there looking at me as if to say 'yer, what you going to do about it'. They then flew on the roof above me looking over the sides watching me and waiting for me to leave again.

I always thought of pigeons as just dumb town birds but I don’t think so anymore. I think they are quite Intelligent. There like a couple of sneaky yobs that know exactly what there doing!

I used to find the starlings a bit greedy and annoying but these two!

Same problem here, I get a great variety of birds but the pair of wood pigeons that come are trying to eat me out of house and home.

For some strange reason they've taken a big liking to sunflower hearts I put out for the Finches, now none of the others can get a look in. They're costing me a fortune.

LOL. I got 2 pigeons in my garden too recently. They build a nest on the tree just outside my window. Now the sunbirds would not come. Funny, on Sunday, 2 crows came to steal some eggs but they left the chicks alone.
