Long eared owl was an owl I wanted as well- managed to get one at glanford while on a weekend trip to Norfolk.Up until 2 weeks ago mine was Long-eared Owl.
Now I think King Eider must be up there with most dipped on.
I put feeders up, one of the reasons was for a Siskin but haven’t managed it yet- have had great spotted woodpeckers though.i like these posts as even though i live in built up area next to a main road i get siskin most days on my feeders.........sorry
but mine is black stork missed everyone about 8 ive gone for! usually by minutes

In Hertfordshire close to where my family lives, they had erupted last year- my dad and brother had them in the double digits. When I came back for the holidays I managed to get a few as well.Brambling
