Seen flying from quite far away in Kenai Fjords National Park (South Central Alaskan coast). Looks to be either a red-necked phalarope, red phalarope, sanderling, or dunlin.

It's a juvenile Phalarope - note the cream-coloured lines at the back and the dark mask. I would favour Red-necked over Red due to the broad and contrasty pale braces and seemingly the rump pattern fits better, but not completely sure...
