World birding October (1 Viewer)

Hi birding friends,

My husband and I have about 9 days in October for a birding trip. I'm the planner, hes the birder. We will be traveling from Wisconsin, USA and are wanting to visit different countries.

We would welcome your ideas for a wonderful birding trip during this time!

A little background--we're both in our 40s and decent shape, love food, wildlife but dont necessarily love camping, lol.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. We're really hoping to visit spain and peru, but unsure if October is the best time.

9 days in Peru would be a wonderful but far too short experience; also without a guide you are going to struggle to get to grips with the variety. Spain is easier in that there is a narrower range of species, and easier viewing in most habitats.

Thank you! I think we're leaning towards spain at this point due to the timeline and planning.
