Yala Sri Lanka - Gulls/Terns? (1 Viewer)

This was taken in Yala National Park - Sri Lanka, back in 2019 - November. I know this pic is not much to go by. But can some one please identify the 2 birds in it?

Gull-billed tern at the back (long legs, cheek-patch) and a marsh tern (whiskered tern, I guess).

I'm surprised at the huge apparent size-difference - more like what I'd expect if the big one was a Caspian tern - but that's the unpredictable weirdness of photos and size (and birding) for you 🤷🏻

Makes sense. Mantle is quite dark for non-breeding whiskered suspect
