Yet another duck: Rügen/Germany (1 Viewer)

Sorry to bother you again, but I can´t identify this one. Seen over the sea about 20m from the shore; other ducks in the area were Long-tailed Ducks, Wigeon, Mallards and Goldeneye. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

its a male Red-breasted Merganser. Brownish-grey breast set sharply against the white neck distuingish it from most similar male Goosander.

Thank you! Can´t imagine how I missed that - I´m still so bad at ducks, my birding life up until a few months ago was based almost solely around woodland, heath, parks and freshwater lakes; I´m loving it here on Rügen, but so much still to learn!
