Zeiss Pre-sale enquiry (1 Viewer)

Hoping for a little advice.

Recently bought a pair of new Zeiss bins and i'm wondering what to do with my older pair which i think i bought between 1985'ish but before 1987'ish.

They are a pair of Zeiss 10x40b T* West German serial no: 109407.

If possible, i'd like to date them with a little more certainty, can anybody help me do that at all?

Can't be sure just how much i paid for them at the time, but it would seem that people are selling them online at the mo (In poorer condition than mine) for more than i bought them for new!!!!!!!! As a school-leaver starting an apprenticeship it took me weeks, longer to save up enough money to buy them at the bird fair in rutland.

Zeiss UK, or its UK repair agent could give you a date from the serial number.

Contacted Zeiss UK, and they have informed me that they were manufactured in 1986 so i wasn't far out at all.
