Yucatán Peninsula and Cozumel Island (Mexico), Belize, and Honduras.
Taxonomy
There are three subspecies.1
- M. p. rubricomus
- Yucatán Peninsula to central Belize
- M. p. pygmaeus
- Cozumel Island
- M. p. tysoni
- Guanaja Island

Dry forests and shrubland.
