Identification

11-13cm.

Distribution

Coniferous forests of southern Mexico (Chiapas) and western Guatemala

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Evergreen, pine/oak forests and scrub. Between 2,300 and 3100 metres.

Behaviour

Terrestrial.

Diet

The diet includes seeds.
