- Agapornis pullarius
Identification
15 cm.
Green throat, orange cheeks, back of head and forehead, black wing, blue tail.
Females have orange head and yellow-green tails.
Distribution
Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]
- A. p. pullarius:
- A. p. ugandae;;:
- Ethiopia to Uganda, extreme eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania
Habitat
Savanna, forest edges.
Behaviour
They build their nests in termite mounds or the earth.
