40–41 cm

  • Black above
  • Grey head
  • Grey below
  • Crest
  • Long tail
  • Hooked bill

Distribution

Endemic to the Solomon Islands (Bougainville to Makira).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Lowland moist forest and montane.

Behaviour

Diet

The diet consists mostly of fruit.
