Identification
Deep violet-blue upperparts,whitish throat and breast,buff underparts together with red bill and velvety black patchon forehead diagnostic. Male-Has narrow black supercilium. Female-Lacks black supercilium. Juvenile-like adult but black bill. Size-12cm.
Distribution
India through S.E.Asia to Malay Peninsular and Greater Sundas.
