Identification
Male - blue-black, white speckled back, red eyering. Female - medium brown with light spots.

Hawaii (Introduced)

- L. l. lathami - E Bhutan and n India to Myanmar
- L. l. williamsi - W Myanmar (east to Irrawaddy River)
