Otus beccarii

Identification

25 cm.

  • Tawny-brown owl
  • Short, inconspicuous ear-tufts
  • Brown upperparts with dense barring
  • White on scapulars
  • Brown or rich rufous underparts
  • Pale whitish eyebrows and facial disc
  • Yellow eyes.

Distribution

Biak-Supiori in Geelvink Bay, Papua, Indonesia.

This is a monotypic species[1].
