Identification

Distribution

South-east Asia: found in the montane forests of New Guinea, Yapen and western Papuan islands.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1], which has been considered conspecific with Black-bibbed Cuckoo-shrike in the past.
It's sometimes placed in the genus Edolisoma.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
