Identification

A striking metallic greeny-bronze bird with a blood-red eye.

Distribution

Sub-Saharan Africa and Arabian Peninsula.

Taxonomy

The species is monotypic.

Habitat

It inhabits a wide range of wooded and bushy grassland habitats.
