Distribution

Very restricted range in the state of Alagoas in North East Brazil, best looked for in Murici an IBAMA reserve. Habitat

Interior upland Atlantic forest at 400-550 m.

Behaviour

Breeding

It builds its nest from clay.

Diet

The diet includes insects, including larvae taken from dead wood, beetles, grasshoppers and ants.
