Similar Species

Has a longer bill and is larger and darker than White-eared Brown Dove.

Distribution

South-east Asia: endemic to the Philippines.

• Luzon, Mindanao and adjacent Philippines

• P. a. imeldae:

• Marinduque (north-central Philippines)

• P. a. maculipectus:

• Montane forests of Negros (east-central Philippines)

• Cebu (east-central Philippines). Probably extinct

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of seeds and fruit.
