Identification
13–14 cm (5-5½ in)
- Pale grey overall plumage
- Dark face
- White supercilium
Distribution
Africa south of the equator: Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, eastern Angola, southern DRC, and south-western Tanzania.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Serinus by Clements.
Habitat
Miombo and mopane Woodland.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small seeds, buds, flowers, nectar and fruit. They also eat some small insects.
