Distribution
Endemic to Buru, Southern Moluccas, Indonesia.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly included in Golden Bulbul together with Northern Golden Bulbul and Seram Golden Bulbul.
Clements places this species in the genus Alophoixus[1], Howard and Moore formerly in Hypsipetes.
