Identification

33-36cm.

  • Dark brown upperparts
  • Underparts barred brown and white
  • Brown barred long tail
  • White underwing coverts

Distribution

Sierra Leone to Zaire and Angola.

Taxonomy

Either only the nominate subspecies or additionally occidentalis are recognized.

Habitat

Lowland forest.
