Identification

Has grey crown and sharp line separating narrow white area under the black mask from grey underside; otherwise very similar to Black-crowned Palm-Tanager.

Distribution

Caribbean: found only in south-western Haiti and three surrounding islands.

  • Southern peninsular Haiti, Île-à-Vache and Grande Cayemite Island
  • P. p. coryi:
  • Gonâve Island (east of Haiti)
