Identification

15.5-16 cm (6-6¼ in)

  • Greyish-brown crown
  • Rufous Post-ocular streak
  • Greyish lores
  • Dark rufous-cinnamon ear-coverts
  • White-tipped black feathers on throat
  • Rufous back

Distribution

South America: Locally in campos of northern Brazil (Roraima) and possibly adjacent Guyana

Restricted to riverine forest with dense undergrowth and tangly vines
