Identification
36cm. Large bill, long wings and fairly long tail, blackish-brown, possibly with grey-black underwing. Bill black and legs pink.

Taxonomy
Pseudobulweria vs. Pterodroma
Some authorities do not recognize the genus Pseudobulweria and place its species in Pterodroma (Clements 6th edition, 2007; Sibley & Monroe, 1996). Howard & Moore (2003) however does recognize it, and the Opus follows this as the status quo.
Habitat
Breeds on oceanic islands, otherwise at sea.
