Identification

Distribution

Philippines (Basilan, Biliran, Dinagat, Leyte, Mindanao, Samar, and Siargao)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Luzon Sunbird and Bohol Sunbird were formerly included in this species.

Habitat

Mid-altitude mountain forest up to 1500 m and sometimes higher. Sometimes can be found in lowland forest.
