Identification

13cm.

Distribution

Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Taxonomy

This species was formerly included in the genus Orthotomus.
The scientific name is also spelled cucullatus.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
