Identification

Dark slaty gray, tail black with one prominent white band

Distribution

It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru.

Taxonomy

The Plumbeous Hawk, Buse Plombée, Busardo Plomizo, or Gavilán Plomizo (Leucopternis plumbeus) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family.

Habitat

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
