Iridosornis porphyrocephalus

Identification

Distribution

Humid Western Andes of Colombia and north-western Ecuador.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

The scientific name was formerly spelled porphyrocephala.

Habitat

Extremely wet cloud forest and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
