Identification

  • Green
  • Distinct scaling from breast to vent
  • Black moustache
  • Black bordered white supercilium
  • Tail strongly barred
  • Crown red in male, black in female
  • Large pale bill

Distribution

Asia: found in Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas.
