Identification
10 cm
A small flycatcher with a thin, downwards "bent" bill and pale eyes. It has pale yellow underside including throat.
Similar species
The bill shape is different from most species except Northern Bentbill which has grey throat and upper breast (and different voice).
Distribution
Central and South America: found in tropical central and eastern Panama and northern Colombia (east to Santa Marta region).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Moist lowland forests, edges, second growth, below the canopy to low in understory.
Behaviour
Vocalizations
Song is a rolling thrill.
