This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 2 subspecies.
Formerly, both White-lored Antpitta and Thicket Antpitta were considered to be the same species with the name Fulvous-bellied Antpitta.
Subspecies
- M. f. caquetae:
Lowlands of extreme southeastern Colombia (western Caqueta)
- M. f. fulviventris:
Tropical eastern Ecuador and extreme northern Peru (south to Iquitos)
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
