Identification
Length 28 cm.
A green parrot with a yellow head. The eye is pale with a blackish eye ring. The upper mandible is brownish-grey and the lower mandible is pale horn.
Distribution
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1]. but some authorities[2] recognize subspecies P. f. flavifrons and P. f. aurantiiceps
Habitat
Montane riverine forest from 300m; also lowland sub-tropical humid forests.
Behaviour
Diet
Very little is known but they have been observed feeding on fruits.
