    Red Breasted Goose

    Spotted a Red Breasted Goose at Bluewater in Kent today. A first for me. On it's left leg were a red ring with a yellow ring or tag above it. 1. Where was this tagged/ringed 2. Has this been blown off course 3. Shall i report it to anyone else. Cheers Richard

    Nightjars in the UK

    I saw my first Nightjars last year at Salthouse Heath in North Norfolk. I was determined to see them and was amazed at the sight of one churring on a branch in full view. Lets hope they do not decline to much as they are a lovely bid to see and hear.

    best for £400(ish) please.

    I have the 8x43 ED Hawkes. Fantastic bins and paid less that £300.00. Try AR Hawkins in Cambridge for a deal. I was very pleased with the service. Cley Spey can be dear. In this months Birdwatching mag they have some new Vision (?) bins that are ED and priced similar to the Hawkes.

    Cheap & Cheerful

    I have several of these in the garden. Sparrows like them and blue tits have used them when i have put sunflower hearts in one of them. They are a cheap way of people feeding birds which can only be a good thing. i have even placed one in a local woods in winter to help supplement feeding...
