I can't stop smiling. Wife and i saw our first group of Waxwings today. Went for a easy walk at Belhus Woods near Averley in Essex and within 100 yards of the visitor centre a small group of 13 Waxwings were in a tree. What a fantastic sight, a bird we had not seen before and thought i had missed again this year were just sitting in the branches preening and eating.

Also heard and saw our first blackcap of the year along with Green Woodpeckers and L.T Tits and loads more.

What a lovely day out in the sun and fresh air and relaxing watching birds and getting the lovely Waxwings so late in the spring.
