    Hides for hire

    Gordon's place in Aviemore for fishing ospreys is excellent just google aviemore ospreys, I can vouch for that as I have some pretty good pics to prove it. See link below they are underneath squirrels and kites. It runs about £100 for the morning. the ospreys fish between 04:00 to 7:30...

    Ian its more than likely due to the winds at the moment in the migration passage. From what I understand westerly winds are very hazardous for them.

    Does anyone know if loch garten has any returning Ospreys yet as the RSPB site is now down for maintenance which I suspect was due to being hit by loads of spam since Tuesday. The webcam is still running but the forum is down.

    Hi everyone, I am going to the oban area of the west coast of Scotland next week and was wondering what was the best wildlife to see and photogragh, don't mind trips and was especially wanting to see pine martens. does anyone have any opinions as to what I should be looking for.

    hdew cameras

    I used HDew last year when I bought my 7d off them and the service was good, delivery was a little longer than I had hoped for but the money I saved well made up for it. I think they had trouble sourcing the camera at the time which was why the delivery was about a week.

    That's funny Mick cos mine scatters if I go near the window, but I did get a real close up of long tailed tits who flew onto the feeder I was standing next to no more than 2 feet away, I just stood and watched amazing.

    Thornley Woods

    Thornley woods is a shadow of the hide I visited a few years ago. The area outside the hide doesn't seem to be maintained very well and the feed situation is very poor. In my opinion this needs handing over to a local dedicated group to look after similar to Clara vale as this seems to work much...
