Genus: Speculanas

Description

Taxonomy

Speculanas is a monotypic genus in the family Anatidae, however, the lone member, Spectacled Duck is sometimes placed in genus Anas. The closest relative of Spectacled Duck seems to be Brazilian Teal Amazonetta brasiliensis.
