Genus: Tchagra
Description
Four species from Africa and Arabia. They have rufous wings, black eyestripes, and dark tails with white tips to the outer rectrices. They forage near the ground and call distinctively during short display flights.5
Taxonomy
Tchagra is one of about seven genera of Bushshrikes in the family Malaconotidae.
The Marsh Tchagra (Tchagra minutus in Clements 20101) is split from this genus as Bocagia minuta2,3 or Antichromus minuta and A. anchietae4.
