  • Grey face
  • Dull yellow throat
  • Grey underparts

Distribution

Central and South America
Cental America: found only in Panama
South America: Colombia, Ecuador and Peru

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 3 subspecies[1]:

  • C. f. hypophaeus:
  • Montane forests of western Panama (Volcán Chiriquí to Veraguas)
  • C. f. marginatus:
  • C. f. flavigularis:
  • Andes of central Colombia to eastern Ecuador and eastern Peru (Cuzco)

Habitat

Humid to wet mossy forests, forest edges and secondary growth.

Behaviour

Diet

Their main diet consists of berries, fruit and some insects.
