    Birding At My Local Patch

    Good Birds spotted on a walk

    This morning went for a walk outside as it’s been dry after weeks of rain which is sadly returning tomorrow. I saw some good birds on my walk. First was seeing and hearing my first Skylark of the year which was exciting also saw a Kestrel and three Buzzards soaring in the sky.

    Can’t believe on Friday it will be 22 years ago I first started Birding. I will go to my first ever local patch which was the Botanics in Edinburgh.     First Birding Outing Of 2024

    Had a good start to my Birding of 2024 at my local patch this morning. My sightings today were 4 Jackdaw 1 Heron 2 Mallard 9 Great Tit 5 Crow 2 Robin 1 Blackbird 2 Woodpigeon Tgere were times I stood still and birds will get closer to me which was lovely.

    Just had a Blue Tit checking out the camera nestbox in the garden which was exciting. Fingers crossed they use it later in the year.

    I got given this nestbox for my birthday back in September and it’s now up in the garden. Unlike my old one this one shows colour on the tv screen.
