    get yourself to the Strid Woods, Bolton Abbey and on to the tops of the surrounding moors, like Lower Barden reservoir.. these are just south of you 15minutes drive.. make the effort and go the crack of dawn to these places to maximise your chances of goodies...

    thats a good count, i manage that farm we've had an SEO and two Barn Owls along that road this winter.. its good for lesser whitethroat in summer by the two entrances to the farms and yellow wag are always in the potatoes

    Short-eared owl flushed along Rudgate lane, Tadcaster this morning.. this year has seen great additions to the local bird list to my knowledge... Osprey, Hobby, Spotted Fly, Gropper and now SEO, went to look later but no sign but lots of other raptors 3 Kites,2 Buzzard, 2 Sprawks, 2 Kes... loads...
