Sunday, April 09 - Waterloo Park, Waterloo, Ontario.
Wow! Actual T-shirt weather, at last! Was able to go running in short sleeves for the first time this year. :t:
And with the improving temperatures, quite a few new birds moving in; not just new species, but also ever-increasing numbers of the migrants already here, like Red-winged Blackbird, Grackle, and Junco. "Happy days are here again..."
Two new birds this morning, so I'm now up to 132 for the year.
131. Solitary Sandpiper
132. Black-throated Green Warbler
Frustratingly, I heard but did not see an Upland Sandpiper, a very rare bird in this area. It would have been a state and county lifer, but I don't count heard-only birds.
