Buy a Vortex? (1 Viewer)

You are comparing chalk and cheese. The Vortex is a good quality full size scope whereas the the Minox is a good quality small portable scope (or not depending on which review you read). I would advise you decide what type of scope you want/need first and then decide what model. Do you want a small portable or a full size or a compromise. If you really don't want to spend a lot of money on a scope (as you say) you are not going to get a scope such as the Vortex new. You might consider a used scope for your budget and if you find you don't lke it, you could sell it on for less loss than buying new and then selling.

With most optics there's an element of 'diminishing return', so Razor won't be twice as good as a scope which is half the price. If you like the idea of a Vortex, have a look at the Viper HD. As with their binoculars, the Viper is 90% the capability of the Razor imo.
