If anyone could enlighten me as to what either of these are, i would be most grateful as i need them for an exam & cant very well go calling them one thing if they're something completely differant. thanks.

Haven't got a wildfowl book to hand at the moment but I'm sure they are some sort of Wigeon or Teal....remind me more of the former.

Best thing about Bird Forum though is that somebody will be along very soon to tell us both what they are! ;)

Hi!
The first is a Chiloe Wigeon, and the second one is a Ringed Teal, a female, prob. adult. Both are South American species and commonly kept in captivity.
