Nikon reimagines its old spotting scopes for 2012 as the new Prostaff 5. Other than being lighter weight it seems nothing we haven't seen before. Move along now.
The PROSTAFF 5 also has a similar body structure to the ED50 Fieldscope. I like this idea as it makes the PROSTAFF 5 a bit more user-friendly. Namely, the protruding focus wheel is easier to find)

We have this scope where I work and I have found both sizes better overall than the RAiii of similar objective diameter.
They are very light weight, the eyepieces comprise of about half the weight!
Tested the 60mm against a rival 60mm and the ed50 and results were positive for the Prostaff 5, especially when you consider price.
Definitely an improvement over the RAiii optically and ergonomically, great for for digiscoping to.
