    Inspired by drjpmenon's parakeet photo I wanted to show my shots of Canary Is subspecies. This, I believe, is 'borealis' but would welcome any correction if necessary. Taken in Gran Canaria. Apologies for lack of sharpness!

    Under lockdown there's a limited choice of species to photograph from my flat, so here's another parakeet shot... Case for the prosecution: Rose-ringed Parakeet is an invasive species that can be annoying, cause damage to farmers' crops, and compete with native species for nesting holes...

    if they did not move they are so hard to notice, but when they fly they send out a very loud call. they became international bird, as a friend form California told me they have reached there. hope you like it.

    I've calmed down a bit from my Ring Ouzel (and reported it to the Recorder). Though not a lifer, it feels like the bird of a lifetime, better than all the rarities I've seen (which were found by other people, and weren't in my garden). But with birds, you never quite know what's going to turn up...

    there's often squabbling on the feeder by these guys, sometimes 4 or more at a time. This one like to eat peanuts from one foot, hanging on with the other and dropping bits for the wood pigeons waiting below
