yes, I agree with you, its a Marsh Harrier and an excellen picture. Tfs!
Please note total lack of barring on the tail, unpatterned pale grey tail is a good feature against other common european raptors.

I think the blueish cast is partly down to shadow from the wing. The underwing patterning is interesting though, any other images?

Here are pictures taken before and after the original image. Although there were a few birds around, im pretty sure this is the same bird.

None of the photos have been edited other than cropped.
Maybe it was just a trick of the light?

Yes as Pyrtle comments above the bluish cast is just the shadow of the wing falling on the head and giving a different quality of light. Nice photos!
