Edit- They are not native to western Europe, however they have established populations (through escapes) in parts of Western Europe.

Yes Bewick tnx, sorry, it is Casarca in the Dutch book, very typical and quite rare in Holland I read, I found them in Thailand too

In this habitat in Brabant, not shy, there is a good chance that it's an escape. Sometimes I see a few at the Oostvaardersplassen and there they behave more like wild birds, for instance they avoid people. But still, their origin is unclear.
