Hi everyone, looking to identify this baby bird found in the countryside in Castellina, Italy a few days ago. I was leaning towards Nightingale? Any help from local birders would be appreciated, thank you! Jeremy

Hello,

its a juvenile Common Redstart for me. Pale spots are too large, and too cream for even the most/obviously spotted recently fledged Black Redstarts.
Really out of variation? Err, yes .... I looked at many Black Redstart in the last two years and thanks to Grahame Walbridge again!
