consp. nov. (3 Viewers)

Now and then I encounter 'consp. nov.' after a name. (for instance in Berlepsch, Snethlage). It does not seem to be used much. What does it stand for and what does it mean?

Thanks!

Example: 1924, Hellmayr's Catalogue, Part 3, p. 127 , in the synonymy (middle of the page)

(Answering my own question)

Apparently 'consp.' stands for 'conspecies': they are the members of a (perceived) species complex.

Here is Snethlage defining several 'consp nov.' and using the term 'Conspecies' explicitly:

It brings up the question if not such a 'conspec. nov.' ornamentation on a name should always contain the names of the other members of such a complex. Hm.
